Seventy-three Ukrainian troops surrendered, and Belousov awarded Russian servicemen for their bravery.
Russian forces advanced towards the key city of Pokrovsk, claiming control of Krutiy Yar, while Ukraine continued to retreat from multiple frontline villages.
